From The Oregonian, 1906:

“C.K. Henry has sold his beautiful home at 332 East Twenty-first Street North to R.F. Cox, a wealthy lumberman for $20,000, who will make the residence his home. This is one of the finest homes on the East side and occupies a quarter block, and it is a two-story, ten-room building with artistic finish on the outside and inside. It is situated in the midst of a beautiful lawn and surrounded by choice flowers and ornamental shrubs.  Mr. Cox will take possession of the property at once.  Mr. Henry is erecting a new home in Laurelhurst”

Notice the palm trees in the front yard and parking strip!
