If you didn't know that color film wasn't invented until the 1930's, you'd guess this was an original photo of the living room of this 1908 house.  Carefully restored antiques and period lighting betray no modern notes.  Today a splendid focal point of the room, the magnificent quarter sawn oak fireplace mantel is probably not original to the room, as its Victorian detailing probably pre-dates the house by a dozen years.
