The dramatically remodeled kitchen is shown here with its cozy breakfast nook area and traditional Craftsman Style cabinetry. While many homes have natural wood kitchen cabinets that are described as "Craftsman Style", in the Craftsman Era no kitchen cabinets would have been left natural, varnished wood. Only white, ivory, or light green paint was regarded as durable and sanitary enough for a kitchen. On the other hand, the gorgeous bamboo floors installed by the new owners would never have been used in historic times; however, with their durability, natural origin, and beautiful color, nobody's complaining!
