The Historic Coleman-Scott House
Here in the dining room, the table, chairs, sideboard, and china cabinets were
manufactured by the Tull & Gibbs Company and purchased from the 1905 Lewis &
Clark Exposition. The table under the portrait was hand made of black walnut
from family’s Indiana farm. As in several other rooms, the silk wall tapestries
have faded from “Williamsburg Blue” to cream. Harvey Scott I surveys the scene
from his portrait on the far wall. The light fixture is original and is both
electric and gas (the center “candle” in each cluster was gas-fired).
