The Historic Coleman-Scott House
This library was added to the house in 1920. Leslie Scott did his writing in
this room. A magnificent Eastlake secretary is against the north wall out of
view. The partners’ desk at the center of the photo was used by Harvey Scott
I
during his time as editor of The Oregonian and is one of the most
important historic pieces in the home. The origin of the unique rotating
bookcases is not known. The scenic wallpaper is original.
