In this detail of the front gable can be seen the fine detailing, including the pegged tenons on the barge-boards and the window box below the attic window.  The diamond panes in the upper window were a throwback to Victorian days, but a not uncommon bit of fancywork even in the Craftsman era, in which this house is thoroughly rooted.
