1803 NE Thompson Street
A Brilliantly Conceived Craftsman Bungalow

In this view, the complex roofline is visible -- where the main roof seems to float above the rest of the house, and the projecting porch roof creates visual interest and makes the house look larger than it is.  The gable end lattice work of the porch roof and the sparse stepped porch rail reflect an Asian aesthetic, while the rough brickwork of the chimney provides a touch of rusticity.  At the lower left are the expansive windows of the solarium, which now serves as a greenhouse and the home's main entrance.
