A Brilliantly Conceived Craftsman Bungalow

The openness of Craftsman era floor plans is evident in this view from the living room through the entry hall and beyond into the music room.  The original concept for most bungalows was an entry door opening directly into the living room as seen here.  But this home offers the option of the main entry coming through the solarium accessed by the expanse of French doors seen in the middle of this photo... the choice of the current owners.  What was once a den, is now the entry hall -- a change made without a single alteration of the house, reflecting the great adaptability of the design to modern living.
