1903 NE Hancock Street Pioneering Craftsman That Helped Define the Style in Portland Triple-fold French doors lead from the living room into the dining room. The door from the dining room to the outside leads to a backyard patio eating area -- Gustav Stickley advocated eating outdoors as much as possible for its healthy benefits, and architect Emil Schacht provided for a convenient outdoor dining in many of his homes. The light fixtures, though appropriate to the period, were added by the current owners to replace 1920's era fixtures that were moved to second floor rooms. |
