A Stately Colonial with Welcoming Artistry -- Both Modern and from the 1920's Formal Colonial Revival homes can be stately and logically laid out without being stuffy and formal as is so clearly shown in this view of the entry hall and the finely worked wrought-iron ornament of the stair rail -- and the walls showcasing the owners' art collection. In a nod to the more casual living that was becoming the norm in the 1920's architect/builder Robert Beat added the arched passage from the entry hall to the inviting, casual breakfast room off the kitchen. |
