As with many of Ellis Lawrence's designs, the Dickson house enjoys a blend of the best of Colonial Revival and Craftsman styles in its interior.  The lightness and formal layout of the Colonial style are blended with the richly worked wood moldings and built-ins of the Craftsman style.  Every Lawrence design exhibits a mastery of details, perfectly placed lighting, carefully proportioned fireplaces, and other details.  And this house is no exception.  At the left is one of the French doors opening out onto the delightfully private front porch.
