Layers of burgundy paint had to be stripped off the box beams before restoration of the beautiful flat-sawn Douglas fir could begin.  The table, chairs and buffet are modern Craftsman Style furniture by the Stickley Furniture Company -- the descendant company from the legendary Gustav Stickley Furniture Company in New York whose founder created the Craftsman movement.  Earth tones and simple carpeting hew closely to Stickley's ideals in this sumptuous room.
