This site is chock full of information on neighborhood history, important
local architects, and the early residents who helped make Irvington what it is
today. The Pico-Search engine provides full text searches of all
information on the site. Some suggestions for topics to search on:
- Architects - try "Ellis Lawrence" or "Whidden & Lewis"
and see how many listings you get.
- Important Oregonians - like "George Chamberlain".
- Architectural Styles - you'll find many listings under "Craftsman
Style", for example.
- About the Home Tour itself - for example, try looking for
"Volunteer" if you'd like to work on Tour day.
- Street Addresses - search for "2205 NE 16th" and see what you
find. Note that "NE" is always included in addresses on this
site as is "Ave" for numbered streets and "St" for named
streets.
